There is a major challenge in the American church today: we do not have enough qualified and trained pastors and church leaders that our churches require.
Fewer young people are following Christ, still fewer are sufficiently trained biblically, and fewer yet can afford ministry training.
Meanwhile, 4,000 churches close their doors every year, and pastoral retirements outpace ordinations.
The solution is a proven leader, a proven institution, and a proven program to address this need.
Tony Campolo has worked tirelessly in ministry for over five decades. The Campolo Center for Ministry is the next and biggest step in his vision for Christian leadership development and church renewal—a partnership with Eastern University that sets out to transform the church by identifying and preparing the next generation of church leaders.
The Campolo Center will:
- Tap into Tony Campolo’s 50 years of inspiring young people to ministry
- Equip local churches to identify promising talent
- Help those young people fulfill their call to ministry with scholarships and training
