bright-starsOn Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. Bright Stars of Bethlehem will convene a panel discussion at the National Press Club with leading peace makers and international experts on “The Situation of Palestinian Christians in the Aftermath of the Arab Spring and upcoming U.S. Presidential Elections”.

The program includes participation by four influential leaders committed to peace in the Middle East; including, 2016 Olof Palme Prize Honoree, The Rev. Dr. Mitri Raheb, President/Founder of The Red Letter Chirstian Movement, Dr. Tony Campolo, President/Co-Founder of AAI, Dr. James Zogby and Founder/Board Member of The Simple Way, Shane Caliborne.

The event is open to the press. Event will begin at 12:30 p.m. with light refreshments. Panel discussion begins promptly at 1:00 p.m.

This event is in conjunction with Bright Stars of Bethlehem’s Room for Hope Festival, which will be hosting several other area events September 19-23, 2016. All proceeds from this and other events will benefit the work of Bright Stars of Bethlehem, a U.S. 501(c)(3) charitable organization that promotes and spreads the word about the many outreach ministries of Christmas Lutheran Church in Bethlehem to build hope and a brighter future for the people of Palestine through the Diyar Consortium. The ministries include Dar al-Kalima University College, the Diyar Academy for Children and Youth and the Ajyal Seniors Program. Each of these programs equips community members of all ages to assume a proactive role in shaping a brighter future and bringing hope to the Holy Land.
