Dear Friends and Partners in Ministry,
The mission of the Campolo Center for Ministry is to address critical challenges facing the Church in the 21st century by training a new generation of faithful and effective Christian leaders at Eastern University.
We’re excited with the launch of the Campolo Scholars Pilot Program with 6 promising students this year. However, Tony and Eastern have a long track record of inspiring, mentoring, educating and training students for lives of faithful Christian service.

Wendy Ryan, one of Tony’s former students and Eastern alum, has dedicated her life to Christian service, first as a missionary journalist for the Baptist World Alliance and since 2006 in Cape Town, South Africa, where she founded and directs Evangeline Ministries.
Wendy delivered Eastern’s December commencement address and was awarded an honorary doctorate in recognition of her mentoring, leadership development and economic uplift program for HIV positive and other disadvantaged women.

“To say that Tony changed my life is an understatement. The impact of his twin Christian themes, personal salvation and social justice, resonated in my heart. I credit Tony and my late dad, Rev. Norris Ryan, for my work in Cape Town, South Africa today.”
Wendy Ryan is an excellent example for our Campolo Scholars. We hope they will aspire to achieve excellence in vocational Christian ministry after their years of studying, training, serving and spiritual formation with the Campolo Center for Ministry at Eastern University.
